Misadventures in Martial Arts

Again, sorry for the long delay but things here have been a bit busy. Also, not much to report--until this past Wednesday night!
I was in Ju Jitsu class and we were working on defense against a punch using a cane. I was the attacker and when my uke (training partner for those of you new here who may not know) went to do the technique, the cane slipped and hit me on my glasses. So now I have a small cut over my right eye. Poor Mark felt so bad all night afterward and I had to keep telling him it was ok, I knew he didn't mean to. I had to joke about it though, saying (in best Brit accent) "It's only a flesh wound!" We just put some Neosporin on it, slapped a band aid over it and I finished class and took the next one. There's a saying (and some have had shirts made saying this) "Thousands of kicks/punches+ hundreds of hours of classes + countless bumps and bruises- Fear= One Black Belt"
I just hope I don't have a black eye!!!

If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.To me this makes a lot of sense. How many of us have said or done something in a moment of anger that we wish we could take back? To me that is what this means. Something to think about. Have a good one everyone!
